WHATS A LITTLE DIFFERENT

Maker’s Friend is a boutique design and build practice centered around a highly personal, hands-on approach to construction. Rather than relying heavily on layers of subcontractors, much of the work is directly executed and overseen by Martín through both creative development and principal building involvement across nearly every phase of the project. From early spatial planning and material direction to fabrication, finish work, and on-site problem solving, the process remains deeply collaborative, detail-oriented, and closely managed throughout. This integrated approach allows for greater consistency, stronger craftsmanship, clearer communication, and spaces that feel intentional from the foundation to the final detail.
Led directly by Martín through both creative development and principal building involvement across the majority of the work, the process remains highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and personal throughout. From renovations and custom interiors to experimental structures and finish work, Maker’s Friend creates thoughtful spaces and objects that balance utility, atmosphere, and timeless design.

The Process

    Napkin scratch

start now! doodle it out, stay away from ai if at all possible. look at some rad books and get the creative juices flowing.

    Collaborate

I really do want to become your friend. unless you’re a jerk and don’t like cats :) but lets combine creative force and find that magic!

    Adapt

WE need to keep it fluid. what starts as one things often becomes another. that’s the beauty and the way I often love to build.

    Delivery

the final 10% of every project is usually the hardest. this is where my ocd super power comes out with my magic fairy wand and we get to the finish line with ease.
